MISSION STATEMENT

Costner Medical Missions is a nonaffiliated 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that will provide ongoing medical care to the indigenous peoples of the Amazon. Each trip will combine medical mission with adventure ecotourism in an effort to change lives – that of the provider and recipients of care.

GOALS

1.To create sustainable medical presence in the Amazon region of Ecuador in order to make a long-term impact on local health care.

2.To provide individuals from various backgrounds the ability to work with medical and dental personnel to provide care to the indigenous people of the Amazon.

3.To plan and promote trips to an exotic region using local ecolodges to provide an excellent opportunity for ecotourism and adventure.

4.Each participant will fund their own trip and be encouraged to seek support so that any donated funds can be used to directly help the Indians, to purchase medicine and medical supplies and for administrative costs.
